Greenwood has not played a single game for us, from the moment the story broke more than 19 months ago.
United continued with their own investigation which they didn't need to following the charges against Greenwood being dropped, but the club persisted and have decided he had to go.
But apparently it's still not good enough for some.
I can't remember the last time someone on here gave a hoot about the supposed victim in all of this. A fraction of any sympathy for the girl, if anything she's been called all sorts in recent months.
All of which has always led me to believe this really was a load of old virtue signalling bollox and as I can see from some of the posts today, an excuse for some to turn this into an attempt to slag off the club.

Just been on Sky that last Wednesday the decision had been made for Man Utd to bring back Greenwood. They’d prepared statements for ETH and everything but the public outrage changed their minds.

I’d assumed they’d cancelled his contract yesterday. They haven’t, they’re now going to try and make money on him.

The fans seem to want to sweep it under the carpet just like their club and going as far as to say it's been handled in a way that's good for everyone.
Yeah, seen loads of it. Defending the club saying they couldn’t have done it any differently. Totally ignoring the fact they were taking him back until the women started kicking up a fuss. Plenty of Utd fans on their forum still saying the club should have brought him back.

If supporting him means getting the help he needs to make sure it doesn't happen again, well as sure as you can be, then that has to be a good thing though.
