Bayern vs Manchester United
In both of these CL finals the better team on the day actually lost ... now there were great comebacks from both English clubs, and I was cheering both on and was chuffed when they lifted the trophy ... but on a cold analysis of the games, both Milan and Bayern were, realistically, robbed ... but that happens ... it's what makes the game what it is in entertainment terms ...
But we kindly put it all right in 2007 by reversing it lmao
I think when you objectively look at those line ups -

Vladimir Smicer banging one in from 25 yards. You could play that second half a thousand times again and not get close. Basically won it because Steve Finnan got injured.
We could play that first half again and not have been 3-0 down as well
Not getting back to 2-1 imho was what won us that game cause I think Milan switched off

How TF were Bayern the better team in 99? They didn’t beat us in any of the three games we played against them, we didn’t lose any CL games that season, against them, Barca or Inter.
In the final, despite missing Keane and Scholes the first half was evenly boring aside from their goal nothing else happened. Second half we both had chances, they hit the bar/post and we scored twice. Blomqvist missed a sitter as well.
