We always get you away on a Tuesday night.

Must be some sort of tradition that nobody knows about.

Yeah that does seem to happen a bit. There was the last game of the season when we’d won the league and you beat us and the first game of the season once where we battered you 3-0.

I was for it and I’m still of the belief that it would work if humans didn’t balls it up by not using it correctly

Me too ... but the game also needs some clearer thinking on the rules ... because VAR is being asked to judge / confirm ridiculous stuff ...

Offsides: need to be judged on the trunk of a player, and clear daylight - not lines being drawn to a finger, toe or heel ...

Handball: ... the ****ing t-shirt interpretation is plain daft ... should be down to "did it hit the arm?" ... if yes, was it accidental or deliberate... that should be the only judgement call required ...

Wrestling in the box at set pieces: Penalty or free-kick to the defence ... holding onto an opponent is a foul ... the end, no exceptions ... make it clear at the beginning of the season, then stick to it ... will only take a few penalties on opening day to make the ****s cut it out ...

<cheers>

yeah the rules are structured very poorly

VAR has highlighted that

the offside rule is pathetic…I thought it was introduced to stop strikers gaining an unfair advantage….having your toe nail offside doesn’t achieve that imo

I agree with pretty much all of this. Off side is meant to punish someone "seeking to gain unfair advantage". Being faster off the mark or having a larger boot size is not seeking unfair advantage.
The thing tha needs sorting first is cowardly defences running away from free kicks, if everyone knows the ball is going to be played into the area from a free kick and the defence run away leaving the attackers "off side" who is seeking to gain unfair advantage there?
Either defend or lose an open goal.
