I do understand the differing perspectives of different fans ...

... and I actually thought before the game that Real Madrid would do something similar to Citeh akin to their trip to Anfield and progress to the final ... and comfortably beat Inter ...

... but

Citeh were irresistible... it was total domination from the kick-off right through to the end ... a few of the Madrid players looked broken and lost by the time the ref put them out of their misery...

... and the fact that Citeh could bring on Mahrez, Foden and Alvarez ... that squad is frightening in its' depth...

You never know in footie, for sure ... but I really can't see Inter beating them.

<laugh> if I could have written a living nightmare scenario for my club's season it would have been something like:

Leicester City get relegated
Forest survive
Coventry get promoted
Derby get promoted

Thank fook Derby have contrived to avoid the 'perfect storm' ... <whistle>

Fans of clubs like Gillingham and Sunderland and West Ham can fap over City all they want..it’s understandable coz their clubs have never been hindered in any way shape or form by a sports washing project club be it Chelsea or City

The clubs always mixing it for the CL spots have felt the affects due to these no mark clubs getting financially doped.

Many City fans turned their back on the new regime if I’m not mistaken…obviously there’s always plastics to take their seats…Im sure they aren’t bitter or whatever emo expressions some of you lads are churning out

Forza Inter

C’mon United

Quite the opposite actually mate, the whole Prem set up has affected all the lower league clubs big time, so much so we now have an American owner. Nice guy, family man, says all the right things, but I still remember he's a businessman at heart and he will expect to see a profit at some point.

As For Man City themselves, as far as this forum is concerned, I will cheer them on like I do the Tories, because it's fooking good bait. <laugh>

Anyway, the great debate, who were the better club of all time, Liverpool, Man United or Man City

Well for starters my memory is really poor on this one, I remember some moments, but not much else, so it becomes very difficult. Also the game has changed over 50 years, from rough pitches to slick pitches, from attrocious tackles to crocodile rolls, from bent refs to var, so where do you start.

So which one sticks in my memory the most, I'd say Liverpool of the late 70's, along with Nottingham Forest. However, without doubt much like Clough, Fergie demanded respect not excuses and he knew how to reign in the youngsters, as for the trophy cabinet, I don't need to count them, I just know it's a fooking lot.

Do I think last night was the best I've ever seen, well maybe in result and opponent, but it wasn't as perfect as some claim - as Pep says when Haaland didn't take the penalty (in a previous game), this is business! It was good business, a great result, but never perfect. However, Pep has a problem, he needs to win the Champions League with City, he badly needs it, like Steve Gerrard's slippy moment to never be forgotten.

Pep couldn't have easier opposition, Inter, everyone has said this season the Italians are shhite, so where will that leave Pep if he don't win it, and falls at the final hurdle again - hmmm...where does it leave him if he does win it, the best team ever?...start from the beginning and read again, and you tell me, because I just don't know.

Its Fergies United for me.
Purely for longevity. 15 league titles or some ****, wasnt it?
He rebuilt that team so many times, sure they had a couple of years in the doldrums during what I call the Djemba Djemba period, but again and again he rebuilt them and put them back on top.
For me there are 3 classic United teams of the Fergie era, what I call the Cantona squad, the Treble squad and the CR7 squad.
Maybe even 4 if you count the oldies in the 93 squad.

Would love to know what things he was betting on.

Never really understood why a footballer can't place bets on games they have no part in or influence over, if he bet £10k that city beat Liverpool 0-2 at Anfield or Arsenal would win 3 away games on the trott how would he be cheating or doing wrong?

EDIT.... when I say "he" I am talking about any player that wasn't part of any of those clubs.
It’s cause they have mates who could
Bookies are twats if they think someone can fudge the system
Tentacles everywhere they have

but all you've done is name the team that probably fits within your age group, you call 93 oldies ffs <laugh>

If we are merely going on generation, then yeah you'd be right.

So what about Bob Paisley?...go on tell me you weren't born lol

Not saying Liverpool were better btw, merely asking how do you measure all this best team ever malarkey.

Well yeah I wasnt born until 83, so I obviously dont remember the great Liverpool sides of the 70's as I werent alive :p
But objectively speaking, looking at trophies won, sustained periods of success etc and throw in an unprecedented treble as well, it swings to Man Utds favour.

Fair enough. So the best team since 1983, probably about right actually.

I thought the Blackburn team was exceptional, nothing really sticks out since.

Yeah but weren't they just one season wonders mate?

I nearly forgot Leeds and the Don Revie era, didn't they win the league with the highest amount of points or biggest points gap at the time. Although I don't remember how they done in Europe, might have won the Fairs Cup, but don't really remember. Not comparing that to United btw, as there is no comparison to be made there.

They never won the European cup I know that much.
But only because I watched the movie "The Damned United" and Clough bashes Revie for not having won the European Cup with that Leeds team.
