It'll clear up their fact that they don't have a ****ing clue.

They probably do. The laws of the game are complicated and that’s fine. If it’s becoming more transparent then great. Mistakes are fine- we all make them- but they shouldn’t be happening so frequently even after minutes of stopping a match without matchgoing fans in the loop and numerous replays/angles.

At the moment the most horrifically wrong calls might lead to a nice letter of apology from Howard Webb.

It does anger me that that officials think they can make horrendous and egregious errors and think they dont have to take responsability for their incompetence, like they are untouchable.
Yes sometimes the backlash from morons can be harsh (Death threats and the like, there are always ******s I am afraid), but most of the time its just normal fans wanting them to be held accountable for their incompetence and for the rules to be followed as written.
I was all for VAR when it was mentioned first, as video refereeing has been utilised almost to perfection in rugby, cricket and tennis, yet these ****tards cant get their act together and do it properly when it comes to football.
tbf football and Tennis use the same system and it works fine in both which is line/ball technology ..
The only sport listed even close to football in terms of complexity of decision making is Rugby and YES "Var" works better there possibly because it's usage is more limited than fooball

It'll clear up there fact that they don't have a ****ing clue.

Works in rugby…..hopefully it will clear up the shady stuff going on with the game as it is but I’ll not hold my breath…football is a side show entertainment is why tv has taken it and changed it for its own needs

deflect from the real issues going on in the world init

Would help if there was less cheating and diving. Should be more done about that.
There would be less cheating if a) The refs spotted it and called it out and b) There were harsher punishments for simulation.
For me a dive is reprehensible. If you can stay on your feet, stay on your feet.
When I hear **** from pundits like "He was entitled to go down there" it makes my blood boil.
No, you pricks, you shouldn't ever "go" down, the only time you should be on the floor is if someone has brought you down and you physically werent able to stand.

I would agree but a) is a difficult one to spot as some are so good at it, even after replays the pundits sometimes can't agree, very difficult for refs in real time. Caught though, 5 game ban and 5 weeks wages going to grass roots football, that would stop the ****ers

would help if refs give pens when people are clearly fouled but don't go down .

exactly

not all but plenty and tbh I would be one of them…if I was a player.

I’ve blatantly been fouled but the ref is incompetent so I will have to dive to make it obvious

makes sense to me
When we had Coutinho he got absolutely clattered in the box staggered but prodded the ball goal wards which was easily "saved" by the GK . Ref just waved play on .<doh>

Robert Pires is banned from Portsmouth.

Turns out Liverpool trained at Aylestone Park FC in Leicester prior to last night's game ... adding insult to injury ... club O played at as a yoof (as did a certain Gary Lineker) ...
