I tell you what this reminds me of, something my club new American owner said, which was that football here was unique, because in America, there is no pyramid system - so as you say Cartel behaviour where the top clubs retain all the money.
So far even though money has created a gap between the haves and have nots, we still have the pyramid system and until we bring in transfer and wage caps, football will never play fair. My own club has had to sell to survive, our previous owner could no longer compete, hence why we were heading to the National League and gradually out of business.
In January we started buying up lower league players for 'undisclosed fees' we were helping players at other clubs, trigger contract clauses, football shouldn't have to be like this ffs, but it's what the tv money at the top of the tree has created, so much so NL clubs like Wrexham have Hollywood owners.
Sadly like all the fans before me, I accept we have to play financially to survive and a few million is not enough anymore in todays game.
Congratulations on your titles @Sucky![]()

If we're honest its Sky Sports that have ****ed up football. Both in this country and even more so in Scotland and abroad. Nobody could realistically compete with the PL clubs due to the TV revenue, causing people to do anything they could to reach the PL and risk everything.
Doubt anything meaningful will happen to city.
Like spurly says they'll probably get some laughable fine of 10k and carry on taking "sponsorship" money from non existent companies with no staff and offices as per![]()
FFS - I can live with Sunderland winning a League Cup in 2014 so long as Leicester don't benefit from anything![]()
Theyll get a slap on the wrist and carry on as usual.Everton got away with it. Precedence was set there. Chelsea are rumoured to have asked for dispensation citing this. If City then cite this then the whole FFP system collapses as Juve, Barca, Real etc are all going to dive in on it if it happens here.

got way with what exactly. Time will come that Everton need to find the £50m Usmanov paid to be preferred bidder for stadium naming rights. Why do you think Gordon and Richarlison went, because that was an issue coming up unless finances were sorted.
You were £137m over spent for your 3 year period and tried citing that your Covid losses were 4 times as much as clubs with far bigger stadiums and attendances. Your owners were at it.......But, you got away with it to a certain degree.
Infrastructure doesn't come into FFP so a new stadium and related costs means nothing at all.
And Arsenal just incase?I also think the whole of Manchester should be tarred with the same brush and all of them should be immediately thrown out of domestic competitions for the remainder of this season![]()

the club ensure we fell inside the loss limits by selling first option on stadium naming rights for £50m. If Usmanov is still sanctioned, we will be looking for the black hole and will fail FFP.
Trust me, it’s a time bomb waiting to go off.

I've said them exact words to a magistrate. Means **** all unfortunatelyI'm not digging you or Everton out here by the way..... I'm just saying exactly what every club is going to say the second they fall foul of the rules. Its going to be "You never punished them, you can't punish us"

we will be punished if we don’t fill that £50m void. We escaped through a loophole last time. Now Usmanov is out of the picture we could be in trouble.
