Anyone who takes beating us over the last couple of seasons as some kind of feather in the cap is really clutching.
My worry at the moment is we don't seem to have done enough in defence or midfield to change that (unless ETH can actually coach what we already have).

Well unless beating you as often as we have since 2014/15 only recently surpassed the number of times we had managed it in the previous 40 years combined ... then you reflect on 2 possibilities ... how far we might have come ... or how far you might have fallen ... a first league title and first FA Cup for us sort of suggests that it's not all about you ... sorry about that <cheers>

Nope, it's definitely how far we have fallen. We have been the laughing stock of the PL for the last 18 months and you have been one laughing at us <doh>

PS ... have you considered standing for the Tory leadership? ... you do seem to meet the first stage criteria ... sense of self entitlement, disregard for real achievements by others, unrealistic expectations, etc, etc <laugh>

Where the **** did you get that from?
I was one of the first to congratulate your club on the PL win (not so much the FA cup because, well that happens to many teams)
I have no sense of entitlement at all for my team, we are where we should be and for the 50+ years i have supported us always have been.
You tend to think your team are much better than they are whereas i tend to accept where we are regardless of better days.

<laugh> ... meltdown...

... but for the record ... I'm rather modest with my actual expectations for my team ... but have enjoyed them exceeding such for many a recent season ... ling may it continue <cheers>

You always have hope and even dreams Ponks - every fan does ... but for a club like mine to have gatecrashed the ' Big 6' party, given their spending power and resources, as many times as we have since 2015/16 Is truly remarkable ... and continually surprising ... you seem to forget that I've supported them for over 50 years, for the most of which, "a good cup run" promotion or avoiding relegation was the realistic season's ambition ...

You really don't have a clue about what I'm really like off forum .... <laugh>

You've no idea mate, L2 and L1 are worlds apart, even the National League is better than L2. I wanted to die the last time we were in L2. Might as well stick us in the NL now, cut out the middle man.

It's the Prem that fooked everything up throughout the leagues, you got the top half of the Championship, which no one can compete with now, and you got the National League, where clubs are seen as investments for the dreams of Hollywood wanna be's. That prices everyone else out the market, so you have to search for players in their prime being offloaded before they claim their pension, or bring in loan youngsters from clubs that swept up all the player market. Anything you actually buy needs to have come from Rawanda and you promise them a work permit under the name of Mo Farah, and give them the groundsman shed to tied them over for accomodation,
