Lets just wait and see what the outcome is eh? I've no idea and neither does anyone else on here. <ok>

i think it’s safe to say the days of spending like Roman is in a sweet shop are well and truly over. The only other clubs who do similar are City and soon to be Newcastle. Both owned by very questionable owners.

I think the government will make sure your next owner is one of them billionaires we all have running our clubs and not someone who is sportswashing.

so there will definitely be a shift in your clubs landscape more in line with the rest of us.

If 3 are withdrawing sponsorship then the kit is free advertising for them <doh>
Dont really think 3 will see it like that considering they told the chavs they dont want to be involved with them anymore.

If there are sanctions still in place then there's **** all their lawyers will be able to do about any of it. It will be illegal for them to try and influence any leverage as per the rules of sanctions. But I suspect by the summer things might look a lot different.

It's defo a cack handed implementation though, good old Tories, made a right ****in pigs ear of it <laugh>

Surely the whole point of the sanction is to ensure that the Russian gangster does not get a single penny out of the club, not to ruin Chelsea Football Club

The club will be sold to a suitable buyer (not Russian, American or Middle Eastern hopefully) and with a new Owner and Board they can attract new or existing sponsors to the Club and carry on

If the stories about Russia aligning with Syria to try and get Middle East backing are true then full scale sanctions against the human rights abusers should start as soon as possible

Yep, that's the aim. The way the sanction has been applied is hurting Chelsea atm, even if the principal is to sanction Abramovich

Like you say, I think the outcome will be that they will sell Chelsea to a new owner. But it depends on how long that takes, because the current sanctions will put a massive dent in Chelsea's finances.

A quick ownership change would soon see current suspended sponsors coming back.

they had no issue with sports washing with Crimea/Syria and the RA links to putin then.

Indeed mate. Putin bombed hospitals in Syria before he started bombing hospitals in Ukraine.

Sanctions on Abramovich are well overdue
