Had this convo with a couple of Spuds on here at the beginning of the season. They were convinced that Levy would back Conte in the market, but (1) why would a Leopard change its spots ? and (2) There was an interview with Levy where he said that they had to find solutions from within the club as they'd already spent a **** ton of cash.
He even said that Conte would promote youth players
"We shall also look to continue the well-established path for youngsters from our academy to our first Team.
"I know that Antonio’s approach is if a player is good enough, he will play, regardless of status or age."
I dunno what's been lost in translation, but Conte seems surprised about all of this.
