He has to take a lot of blame for it tonight. We've seen countless times this season that a two man midfield can't cope against well organised, aggressive sides. Our two best performances under Conte have been Liverpool and Leicester - we played a 3 man midfield against both and dominated both games.
He insists on the 343 but Lucas doesn't contribute nearly enough to warrant playing an extra attacker.
The glimmer of hope is that Skipp is developing into a seriously talented player - already surpassed Winks and Hojbjerg and he's only 21. And although it's early days, Bentancur looks like a quality player. So there is a chance the 343 will work with them in the pivot but any other combination and we are fecked. I'm dreading the trip to the Etihad on the 19th as Skipp is injured and Bentancur is settling. I can see us struggling against Wolves and getting absolutely battered by £ity.
