I’m sure the price hike from €40-€50m right at the end and the fact that he is clearly playing for free for his childhood club will be of great comfort to Newcastle as they make their way to Rotherham United on a wet Tuesday this time next year.

I doubt we'd have to sell anyone.. He's not even got a relegation clause. Wilsons always injured so doubt anyone would take him.. I think maximin might be sold in that case. There's still not much prem quality in the squad

Yeah don't think you'd sell him after 6 months. But it would defo be a shock for him going from talking about winning the Champions League to playing away at Rotherham on a wet Tuesday night.

I would expect we'd bounce back but yes it'll provide a laugh for people. I think it wouldn't be long before nufc was back though

Depends he's only 24... If they get things right it's possible. If they don't im not too bothered actually. It's a joy just knowing the club is going to try. It was always nice when we tried even when we failed.

The football is alright in the championship; well, it's not as skilled but it's far more scrappy and exciting than the prem.

But being out the prem, out of the discussion and just irrelevant for a season sucks tbh. I'd rather avoid it and continue to have bants on here with people who actually give a flying **** or you know, be in the conversation at all. It's a wasted year, heaven forbid we stay down there multiple seasons.
