They’ve tried appeasing fans with a statement, but the statement is so **** that it’ll have just thrown more fuel on the fire.
They’ve already lost a ton of supporters whilst a lot of paid and voluntary staff have resigned. Wouldn’t be surprised if they lost more after how poorly that statement’s come across.
They may as well have just put “yeah he’s a rapist but he’s good at football so that’s what matters here, so please don’t hate us”

Goodwillie is a bit of an ironic name for a rapist.

We had some torrid times down at Millwall over the years and so the rivalry grew from there.
