There was another incident in that game where one of your players was down injured, but you were on the attack so chose not to put the ball out of play that time
Rose put the ball out because you were penned in your own box, your player was getting to his feet as he kicked it into touch. He was trying to relieve the pressure by trying to 'win' a cheap turnover.
Also, Rose should have had two yellows by that point and shouldn't even have been on the pitch, so Watford's complaints are null and void I'm afraid.

Didnt Arsenal do that **** a few years back, when someone was injured? In an FA Cup game, against, I wanna say Sheffield United, instead of giving the ball back to the opposition they took the throw in, ran on and scored and won the tie.

I do remember when this agreement about allowing treatment first started, I can't remember the teams, the ball was put out of play, the goalkeeper was outside the 18 yard area waiting for the pass but the player who received the throw in scored a goal instead and ran around the pitch celebrating, the ref didn't know what to do but had to allow the goal so he spoke to both captains and from the kickoff the team that that had scored allowed the other team to run through and score
That was in the good old days when sportsmanship counted as much as results

"The throw-in came over Nigel Winterburn's head, I shut him down and he gave away a corner. It all kicks off.
"We then score from the corner through Gary Flitcroft, who whacks it in the top corner and we're off celebrating.
"Martin Keown [the Arsenal defender] was making threats at me for the next four minutes. I played on the left wing right by the tunnel and at full-time I sprinted off the pitch, up the tunnel, into the dressing room, into the toilet and locked the door. Keown was trying to get into the dressing room to get me."

Leaving aside the throw in thing, you can’t surely deny that was a foul by Maitland-Niles? Come on mate, he just clattered him from the back, no challenge was made for the actual ball.
