Hands up, we were **** and you were excellent, a class apart (or several). But this Utd team is nowhere near sub standard dross and our season ahead will only be hard for as long as Ole continues to remain at the club.

You've got a squad now good enough to dominate games and a manager who only likes to play counter attacking football.

It's never gonna work, you have absolutely no plan of attack with the ball.

Even his counter attack is laughable. This has been going on for over a year. He has the back 4 passing the ball between them. On the off chance the opposition actually bother to go forward, we'll pass it out wide - usually to Shaw, who'll pass it to one of the DM's usually Martial or Fred, by which time all the opposition players have got back and regrouped <laugh> Eventually it will go back to one of the centre backs who'll then pump it long for someone to get on the end of a knock-down from the likes of Ronaldo.

It's like a tractor farmer piloting a Learjet and then when he nose dives, saying it's the jet that's the problem.

Didn’t see the game, but from what I’ve read it was embarrassing, they barely had to try that hard from the sounds of it, and still absolutely mullered you. With that squad it’s simply not acceptable imo, he’s out of his depth, but it looks like he’s going to survive to fight another day, so we’ll see.

Yeh I pretty much said the same straight after the game. Souness was talking about how easy it was for Livpl and I have to say I couldn't argue against any of it, he was spot on. On the other hand, Neville has backed himself into such a ridiculous corner that he made little sense. On the one hand he was crucifying Ole for the poor coaching, poor tactical approach, poor performance and the result, whilst at the same time saying he should stay because Ole's a mate.

Must have been a tough gig for Neville having to front out a result like that without calling for his mates head.
