Really?

The actions of the club has allowed them to fudge their books and spend a lot more money than they should have been spending. It directly impacts the team because that's where the money gets passed on to. If HMRC come into your self employed business because you've been fiddling the books as well as owing thousands in unpaid tax and decide to close you down, what you going to say? 'Fine me, but you can't close my business down because it's got nothing to do with the staff who work for me, they've done nothing wrong?' They'll tell you to sling your hook and reinforce to you how that's your fault.
But apart from that we agree yeah? <laugh>

I hated him, when we hired him. I've now got nothing but praise for him, his knowledge and contacts are invaluable, why the hell he is stuck at club like mine beggars belief.

We had him at Leeds for a bit. He had a dodgy owner to deal with who was interfering with team selections, threw away the youth setup and gave him no backing for playing staff. He didn't last too long. He did OK but he was tactically found wanting and the football was god awful.

That job shoved him back down the leagues and probably tainted his reputation at a higher level. He's reliable enough and will stabilise a club.

PS I genuinely hope Derby cease to exist.

We took until January to turn last season around. Transfer window can change fortunes mate. I'm disappointed with our start, but it was much the same last season, added to that I have a lot of faith in Steve Evans, never thought I'd hear myself saying that.

evans greatest moment was the touch line run at Wembley when he was with Rotherham.

He is hated by the vast majority of Charlton fans but I don’t know why. Can’t recall him being on our radar for a manager role, so can’t think he turned it down.
Maybe he has some history from a previous club?

In pretty much every other walk of life, Derby County would cease to exist, with all tangible assets sold to try and service the debt.
They aren’t a poor club, they have just been tremendously mismanaged.
Easy to forget the real victims here, the small businesses who will be owed large sums of money who’ll never get it back.

But oooooooh the poor fans. Get ****ed, it’s only a game.

Only a few financial irregularities, which he naturally denies. First thing I said when he came to our lot, don't let him anywhere near the books. I went to the first supporters meeting when he arrived, and it was made clear, we have no money and he still understands that to this day, thankfully.

I forget what non league club he was with over the tax allegations. I can't remember if something occurred at Crawley as well. But it has to be said he got Rotherham to the Championship, and had Mansfield in the play-off places before he left.

His dream was always to manage Celtic, I'm pretty sure he couldn't do a worse job at the moment.

TBH, I know next to nothing about the guy other than what I pick up from other Charlton forums.
Some fans were getting bent out of shape after his post game comments yesterday. From what I read he said (and it was largely what Charlton fans said) was that we took a bit of a battering second half?
Not sure why that prompted the comments from some of our fans.

Fans just hate him, because that's what he does, winds them up. Before he was our manager, he had a touchline confrontation with the old gaffer Hessy and got two of our fans arrested for racism. It's all part of his psychological games.
