What did Saka do that was so great? All I saw him do was run forwards against a team that let him, much like every England player who tried to run a from deep, Stones and Maguire for example. When he tried to dribble passed players he lost it almost every time, but fluked possession back through ricochets off opponents legs. And his dead ball delivery was ****ing gash as well, wouldn't even have cleared the first defender if he'd been an oompah loompah.Decent selection headache for Southgate to have tbh. I don't think he can leave Saka out of the team given his performance. He brings a cutting edge that has been missing and he does his defensive work too, plus he can play in a few different positions. Same with Grealish, I think he has to start too.
So that leaves Southgate with some decisions to make around Foden (who hasn't shown much for me) and Sterling who's scored both our goals. But it's good to have those options and hopefully we can progress further in this comp so that they can all shine.
