Was up at 5am to drive to Cardiff mate ... no swerving of anything ... said all I had to say and stick by it

On the pre-season prediction thread I had us to finish 5th ... and I called the 4 that would be ahead of us (Not all in the right order - but pretty close) ...

To miss out on Top 4 is disappointing but I'd have been way more gutted to have finished 4th and lost a 5th FA Cup final.

... and that's about it. <ok>

I dunno mate, you seemed pretty confident that you were going to finish in the top 4 when you were setting yourself up for a massive fail with Munse <laugh> @captain wrong

I was confident ... before we had season ending injuries to 2 of our outstanding younguns plus Vardy needing a hernia op ... Maddison's hip and losing Jonny Evans at a crucial stage and then Fofana yesterday at a time where we were on top ... all conjecture but, in my mind, without those we would have got Top 4 with room to spare in this particular season .. but that's football for you ...

We'd have finished 3rd with that points total last season ... so of course there is improvement there

Improve the overall quality and depth of the squad for next season and go again ...

... plus go into next season's FA Cup as holders ... much better than finishing 4th and dropping down to Europa ... but each to their own ...
