Tbf to Uniturd fans, I do admire their honesty ( for now). Its the Chelsea line that is nauseating- Bruce buck was totally for it and even said he has Roman's blessing to defend it when the backlash started. A day later it was "the big lads made us do it's and Roman's the saviour of football. Wherever else this is going I dont expect the same cant and hypocrisy from the Clog Sparkers, and for them to be lauding the Glaziers and Woodward days after calling them out. At least they are 100% genuine. Violent, but genuine. :emoticon-0100-smile

Fair play to the United fans protesting today.

Complaining on SM and Fan forums etc only goes so far. The ****ing leeches who've stolen our clubs simply brush that **** to one side with a few empty words and get on with rinsing the fans and lining their own pockets.

Getting a game cancelled and disrupting them, is the only way they will pay attention.

Bunch of thugs breaking things and fighting with coppers mate.

But Yeh thank god they are fighting for all of football here, Gillingham fans for example must be so happy utd fans are taking the bull by the horns to get our beloved game back.

Nothing to do with the owners banging them into untold debt while taking massive profits out of the club and into thier own pockets and also not winning **** all for years like. Nope.

Deffo not that <laugh>

Like you give a **** 'bout them scraping with Babylon <laugh>

I don't agree with smashing **** up, but you're always going to get an element of that.

The bigger picture though is that it shows that fan protest can be effective. The Glazers have shat on Utd fans for donkeys the same way that Kronke couldn't give a **** about Arsenal fans. These leeches are only here to rinse these clubs for their dough, same with your lot.

Don't think they're fighting for all of football mate or even suggesting it. The Glazers have been unpopular since they came in iirc which led to the green and gold thing and FC United being formed. The ESL thing has just pushed the supporters over the edge.

Obviously the actual violence is uncalled for and hopefully those involved are punished in the courts.

I support the fact they got the game postponed though 100%. It's a really effective protest imo and it sets a precedent meaning every fan will know they have that power to wield.

****cunt owners might be more inclined to engage if they're being forced to forfeit every other game driving the value of their asset down.

You asked where they’ve been all these year when we were winning stuff, they’ve been peacefully protesting. If you were even remotely integrated in our rivalry you’d already know this and wouldn’t need to ask.

But we all point score over Hillsborough though.

Its a **** idea imo. Carry on getting games stopped and what then no games? Til these owners sell up? OK to who? Who has the money they'd want to sell the club? and if they find that guy chances are he wants to make his money back too.

How many man utd fans have that doe?

What I'm saying is we all (the Greedy 6) and others outside of that too sold our souls a long time ago. Swapping about which rich **** who cares nothing for the club but plenty about a financial return solves absolutely nothing at any club imo.

Im surprised you can even show your face after today's carnage tbh.

A dark day indeed

I know your comment wasn't as a reply to me, nor do I pretend to know anything about TV contracts.

But what we have seen this season and some of last, is possibly a new era gradually unfolding in TV viewing - BT are now clearly on the scene and I'd even argue had some better games than SKY. We've also seen the arrival of Amazon within football tv rights, now to me they can be a very big player, as of yet still need to sort the quality of their coverage ie transmission.

What I'm trying to say is it's gradually being cherry picked away from SKY Sports. I've even had my football heavily discounted all season by NOW TV to keep me viewing.

Then we have the new enriched arrival of iFollow for every EFL fan at £10 a throw, the sort of price Prem fans are not happy to pay, proven by the scrapping of PPV for the Prem, yet the lower league fans, still had to find the dough to watch their clubs. That in itself is arse about face, because it would cost most a minimum of £40 a month to watch every game, whereas I can get a full SKY Sports subscription for twenty notes per month.

So for me, yeah the Prem clubs are still trying to protect their nest egg, and I'd argue maybe by rolling over contracts it helps SKY & BT keep the monopoly, while others are watching eagle eyed, wanting a piece of the action.

In short it's a shhite storm that's been brewing because of a successful financial model (broadcasting), but the big six decided to get greedy. I actually wonder how many of those so called fans that entered the 'hallowed turf' today can actually afford to go to live games.
yeah its not some love in with Sky and / or BT just the PL clubs are worried if it goes to auction they will end up with less money ( in effect they did last time as the average payment per game was down ) and are hoping that fear of losing a chunk of games will get the existing broadcasters , which includes amazon , to continue with the status quo .Personally don't think the ESL ****e had any effect on this .

I think I read an article on this a few seasons back, where the pot of gold was coming to an end, and the broadcasters were no longer going to be prepared to pay over the odds in comparisons to previous contracts. Hence why I suspect the big six were trying to break away, they are hoping to move the English clubs along with their European counterparts over to Pay Per View.

Obviously this is all conjecture on my part. So I would believe the ESL was everything to do with this.

Not only have they taken football from your average working lower classes, they were going to steal their TV rights to, as we know damn well that people will not be able to afford PPV as easily as they can a subscription service. Prem fans had already as whole voted against this, but the big six financial men, ain't and never have been interested in your average council estate fan. They want the greenbacks of the middle classes.

Much like horse racing for the Kings. They want a patronage. Obviously tongue slightly planted in cheek, but the truth is there for all to see over the past covid year.
