Nice story for sure ... but I've been backing a history of largely crap managers for over 50 years ... as did my father before me ... there were 39,000 at a packed Filbert Street for my first game in the old second division in 1969... more than we get in the Prem now (and more than you have ever had in your history).. it's all relative ... Portsmouth were a force in olden times ... no ****er had ever heard of Southampton until 1976

You said no one had heard of Southampton until 1976....I thought that strange, considering you played them in a cup game in 1970, ..as you said, you started going in 1969...
