I've always rated Son, I've never rated Kane and all the constant hype around him. I didn't see the game today as it was on BT. But I saw a couple of games previously, it always seems as though Son is being stifled out the game by his own team. No where to move, due to Kane, no deliveries into him, give the lad space to do his stuff, and they wouldn't need to park the bus. I thought Jose had worked this out when he went to Spurs, and I applauded him for it, now all I'm seeing is Spurs reversing that bus. Hopefully with Kane out, some positives might come from it, if not I'm happy to accept I was wrong.
To be honest mate, Kane is twice, possibly even thrice the player Son is.
Son's great, don't get me wrong but I wouldn't call Son a world class player, whereas I would with Kane. The only aspect Son has over Kane is raw pace and a bit more fancy skill. Every other attribute Kane easily has over him, he's also a lot more consistent than Son who's been known to disappear for periods in a season. Kane is up there with Modric and Bale (first time around
) as being one of the best I've ever seen play for Spurs in my life time.I think Kane is partly victim to that conscious/ subconscious thing English fans have about our country's best players. Seen it many times over the years, Rooney always got slated, Sterling gets **** and Kane does too.
