My take ... we are fast gaining a reputation for developing young talent but also beong anle to do that whilst competing at a high level in a top league ... a state of the art training complex in that mix makes us a good proposition for ambitious young talent ... we can't compete financially with the mega clubs for top, already developed, talent ... so our model has to be a conveyor belt that we might get 3 or 4 years out of ... combined with some older quality.

Do the under 23’s use the new training complex?

Diego must be the most pedantic twat on here

‘yeh but how can he be as fast when he runs with his shirt untucked?’

‘yeh but what if he grew another leg, surely that means he’s got more weight to carry therefore not as good?’

Etc etc etc

You’ve been here ten years. This is not news.

They’re taken from their parents as babies and trained there like Shaolin monks. Soon the entire Football League will just be former Leicester academy players all being constantly ousted by the next, even better, generation of Leicester academy players. We just have to hope they don’t turn evil or the army is ****ed.

The men's club have all moved to the new complex and the academy sides will play their home fixtures on the show pitches there from now on.

The women's club (which currently top the Ladies equivalent of The Championship in their first year under King Power ownership) have moved into the old Belvoir Drive, training facilities.

<laugh> ... possibly... but was quite refreshing to have a chat about players and the club rather than some of the usual snipey bollocks ... and his conclusion that our current central midfielders have not replaced central midfielders of the past was wryly amusing ... admittedly the formation in game play is different tbf <laugh>

Exactly what I was trying to explain to “ delusional Dingo” Fosse mate... have we replaced “ Slab Ead” ? Yes I think so with both Cags and Wesley plus with Evans, although getting on a bit, solid as a rock atm , a mere £3.5m.
As I said to Bluey, I also think Chillwell would struggle to get in our first 11 atm with the likes of Pierra, Castagne and Justin, and with young Luke Thomas also getting rave reviews, hand on heart, as much as I like Chilly, I cannot recall thinking “ wow he’s had a blinder today “ ?
As for Drinkwater and Kante ? Madders, Youri and Wilf ain’t too Shabby ?
No, I think that some of us minnows are now starting to slowly make up ground on the so called Sky six fella and the entitled greedy fookers don’t like it one bit, hence the continuous bleating for a European Super League and allowing 5 subs under the guise of “ player welfare though Herr Klopp fooked up big time on that invalid claim when he left it until there was 86 minutes played before making his 1st change.... laughable <laugh>
Happy new year <cheers>

Right, gotya. So Maddison and Teilmans are not replacements for Drinkwater and Kante <ok>
Not really, no. Mendy was Kante's replacement and he wasn't working out, so they brought in Ndidi, who has.
Tielemans has taken Drinkwater's place, sort of, after a bit of a gap, but Maddison's not like either of the two you mentioned.
Leicester play a different system now, so he's more of a replacement for their other striker back then, if anything. Okazaki, maybe?

Yup ... more or less spot on ... Mendy got a bad injury early on after arriving, just when he was getting up to speed ... was really good early part of this season when we were having to use Ndidi as an emergency centre back ... great to have on the bench now ...

A very serious question for my Chelsea supporting friends.... why would you pay £50m for Chillwell as opposed to potentially £35 for Schmichel.... we haven’t looked back with the likes of Justin , Castagne Pierra and a very young Thomas ?
All you big boys need to invest more in your scouting department more than jizzing money on ****e ?

just for you @West WindsR

who is Schmichel? As for Chilwell, our defensive record is as decent as yours and for all his lack of attacking abilities (TM Fossie), he has more goals and assists than any of your current wingbacks so he's contributing enough.

He's the least of our worries in our team.

Does Thomas even play nowadays? Even the dinosaurs of Albrighton and Fuchs are getting more minutes at left back and wingback than Thomas so i'll take his potential with a pinch of salt.

Justin looks really good though

This is with just ten days of the new training ground bear in mind. He’ll be like the bastard love child of Franz Beckenbauer and Fat Ronaldo after ten weeks and will be literally able to fly after ten months.

You can be quite funny sometimes. Not often though. <laugh>
