Yeah I just had a look too. Must have some big bit of scaffolding up to get that angle as that stand is essentially just boxes iirc.

Hope covid has delayed that new ground, wanted to visit there one day.

I see Newport are beating Watford tonight. Many years ago I visited Newports old ground Somerton Park, demolished now (in the 1990's) - I'm probably one of few away supporters to tell the story <laugh> Funny enough though, never ever got around to going to Luton.

I used to be seeing a bird from Newport, used to pop up from Taunton...Ditched her in Turkey and went on the lash with a Shrewsbury squad..Rough old place.

Anyway, **** this **** off, and just give Prem teams a bye (astro logic)

All I remember about Newport was like an old racecourse ground. Made me wonder if they ever actually managed to fill it, would have been ideal for covid times. Just an old mass of concrete terracing, with a ground that was never ever really finished. I'm sure it was evening game as well. Can't have been winter, because I can't remember freezing my nuts off. Tell you what it reminded me of a bit, much like the old Stamford Bridge.

Freezing ya nuts off.

Always reminds me of when a hammer mate travelled up with me, to see s/land v west ham, first game after geoff hurst died.

He loved it, but stated he's never been so cold, stood in the roker end...we've been mates for 30 years now.
