Been a few big-ish clubs in that league over the past decade or so mate. Was an interesting league the two years we were there.

The season you was in there with Norwich and Leeds, was the best. I think that was when Stimmo (Mark Stimson) was our manager, fook me did our fans give him some shhite. We didn't win away, but we were hard to beat at home.

I was quite disappointed with Sheffield United's final finish, I honestly expected them to break into the top five. Sheff Utd v Leeds end of Sept, I'd fancy watching on TV. Could be telling, how far Leeds have come.

i actually think they may struggle this year.

Last year they were a surprise team with plenty of organisation and fight. I think they will suffer the dreaded 2nd season syndrome as they are your typical hard working side but i wonder where the goals will come from. As you say there end to the season wasn't the best

Saw it was our former ginger ninja with the winner too. Noticed Christian Maghoma plays for you now as well.

It was quite funny he scored, because one of our lads had been giving him some shhite all week <laugh>

We have about 3 young players on loan from Arsenal and Spurs, I'm guessing Steve Evans must have a few contacts in your lot.

They dodged a bullet missing out on the EL imo.

I agree though, I think they’ll find it harder this season, and they’ve bought no one yet barring a lesser replacement for Henderson.

Funniest thing that season was you beating us at Priestfield in the penultimate match and you lot invading the pitch thinking you had secured safety...

Only for every result to go against you a week later and you got relegated anyway <laugh>

The following season was of a decent quality too. Cracking battle between us and Hudders for the second promotion spot. Think we won something like 17 of our last 19 games in the end.

Then we had Leeds fans telling us how we should trust them that the championship was a big step up and we'd struggle the next season <whistle>

Good times.

That must be the season Wycombe sent us down then. There was about five other teams, that needed to win for us to go down, and our GD was in out favour......until that fatal day <wah> That was just a shocker. Gills fans are normally prepared for the worst but that was dreadful, now I remember why the fans turned on Stimmo.

Yeah he seems to have really found his feet with you guys, didn't he win your POTY last season?
Maghoma was someone at one point talked of having a decent future but we then suddenly released him which seemed surprising, think he went somewhere in Poland for a year or two before joining you lot this season. Hopefully he does well.

I've said on our board I hope we can try and strike up partnerships with teams in the football league, be good if Evans wants any of ours, we've got a few that definitely need some experience, we used to have good connections at Swindon, Yeovil, Orient and Millwall and they'd all take multiple players on loan from us but it dried up under Poch.

As you've mentioned before if you don't win away all season then you can hardly complain if you're relegated.

If I was a Leeds fan I’d be saying **** all about the forthcoming season until about 3 pm next Saturday.

The Nation will get to see exactly where you are when you visit Castle Greyskull.

iirc Norwich started out their campaign there last season (oh hang on random fixture computer though.....) and got butt ****ed. Set the tone for their season.

As opposed to all those teams who came to Anfield and got a result? o_O

ABLs [HASHTAG]#fuming[/HASHTAG] that Keita and Minamino put on a masterclass

Yes it was only Blackpool but the PL is a [HASHTAG]#poorleague[/HASHTAG]

Apart from Man City, Chelsea, and Arsenal we won't have to face teams with significantly better players or manager than Blackpool
