I actually agree, as crazy as it is with him being the golden boot winner, you do have quality in the forward areas and he’d be back up/rotated. He’s a lot more valuable to us than that and he knows it. The only two moves I can see him making if he leaves us are US pay day (probably an LA team) or a home coming at Wednesday. He turned Arsenal down when he was in his peak and before they were ****e so I couldn’t see him moving to you anyway.

Leighton Baines has announced his retirement despite having the offer of another year from us.

Been a fantastic player for us over the last 13 years, in his prime he was the best attacking LB in the league. Gutted we didn’t get the chance to give him the send off he fully deserved today.

He was always a thorn in our side tbh, class LB at his peak.

Always rated him as a top pro, surprised a 'bigger' club never came in heavy for him.

Feel the same about Vertonghen... no where near as long but 8 years is a long time at a club nowadays.
