What would he need to do to give a belief he's good enough? I'm guessing a genuine impression he can make us challenge for the league. That's the doubt really.

Deliver consistency, win when we absolutely need to win. Start winning when we are playing poorly, and stop rewarding failure.

Earlier this week he was saying ‘No panic if we don’t qualify for CL”.... what? Can you imagine what the players think, if the manager is saying that to the media? Imagine what ex players and legends think. Ronaldo, Scholes, Giggs, Keane, Cantona, Charlton... none of them think 5th is even remotely good enough.

Then we find out about City’s ban being overturned and he doesn’t fire up his £450m team to get out of the blocks like a raging bull, they turned up like a wounded animal and got outworked my a mid-table team for about 70 minutes.

Sancho will be £80m without a doubt. Then you want another centre half, who? Then we probably need somebody who is a better option than Ighalo, ie an experienced striker, maybe a CM, maybe a new GK... replacements for Mata, Lingard, Pereira. The squad is weak, our strongest option off the bench is the Welsh kid who is so far from good enough it’s unreal.

Plenty of folk don’t have faith in the manager by the way, I’ve stood at matches and fan zones this season and last season and heard many opinion on him, it’s more than just me who thinks he’s out of his depth. I’d sack him on the spot if we could even if he finished 3rd with 2 trophies.

I think we need three players and a bit of a clear out.

Whoever is in charge will need these three players, not just Solskjaer.

Centre half wise, Koulibaly has been mentioned but we're not alone in that so face competition.

I'd have Smalling back and get rid of Jones & Bailly personally but not sure that will happen.

One player replaces Lingard, Mata and Pereira for all the impact and use they currently are, that player would be Grealish. I don't think we 'need' a striker but see no reason why Ighalo can't be that experience. The current front three all score and can all fill a central role if needed. Ighalo adds a genuine No.9 to that.

Like I said though, this all applies to whoever the manager is.

Who knows, maybe they are planning on taking the hardline and getting rid of Solskjaer regardless of how we do, with Poch waiting in the wings this could be a real possibility.

Things like this do get on my nerves tbf, he's a habit of acting the underdog which isn't a good look.

It turned the support against Moyes when he was spouting **** and, although Solskjaer is nowhere near on Moyes's level for it, he needs to sort that out.

No qualifying for CL is absolutely a cause for panic for him personally as it would (should) cost him his job.

How are we not struggling to get 4th? We haven’t been in the top 4 all season.

He bought James and utilised him as a first choice winger for practically the entire season prior to lockdown despite the fact that he’s shockingly poor and a couple of goals don’t make up for that. He has consistently given in to De Gea when he ****s up, when we probably have the best deputy GK in the world on our bench.

Let’s be honest here, if it wasn’t for Bruno Fernandes we’d be in the mix for 10th and he’d be getting sacked. If you wanna hand him the credit for Fernandes then he has to also accept the responsibility for not signing Fernandes when he was chasing after that useless clown James instead.
Be grateful your manager didn’t have the links of Ryan Bennett to bring on! And Iheanacho off. That was calamitous management. It’s where you are at the end that matters, you’ll be 3rd.

I disagree. Neither Lampard or Rodgers bring off Bruno and Pogba and replace with Fred and McTominay when the game needs closed out or won, the latter two offer nothing in either scenario by comparison to Pogba and Fernandes.

He then proceeds to bring off a goal threat, the best natural finisher on the pitch and replace him with the biggest pile of **** on the books, because he can run fast, but not as fast as the lad he’s replacing <doh>

A calamity **** up of management from minute one last night.

There are plenty of managers out there better than Ole, regardless of their availability.

Allegri
Pochettino - who didn’t have £200m to spend, in fact he had nothing to spend and still got a Spurs side to a CL final.
Erik Ten Hag
Julian Nagelsman
Nuno Santos
Hell I’d even consider the guy who sat in the opposite dugout last night.

Anybody who’s not a dithering ****wit who spends £200m on players and still struggles to get 4th.

You can **** right off considering the guy sat in the opposite dugout last night. Get that thought straight out of your head now please.

I'd agree with pretty much all of that except Bailly imo is better than Smalling.

Sancho's already been mentioned.

But what about Maddison instead of Grealish. He can play pretty much anywhere in midfield, he's much more of a playmaker. Just seems more a United signing than Grealish imo.

You'll have Alexis Sanchez back next season as well...there's half a million reasons a week for him to play...

I think Grealish has a bit more about him than Maddison. Maddison seems a bit more lightweight.

Plus, he's not shifting Fernandes so I'd see Grealish as more a Pogba back up/replacement.

Just MHO.

Funnily enough I was thinking of a backup to Fernandes or at least one who could share the games whether that's within the premier league and/or in other competitions, but maybe that's an unfair expectation of Maddison. I do feel we need a backup to him though.

I reckon Grealish is an archetypal utd signing <ok>
