Oh FFS, watching City v Sheffield Utd highlights without knowing the result and seen another armpit VAR goal disallowed. This is so ****.

Fosse the babe magnet, taking pics of all his girls tonight...

Wolves manager showed a lot of self control in his post match interview. I'd have been raging.
For what though
The first goal really has been blown out of proportion
It was a legitimate goal - end of

the offside - I totally agree ridiculously but just like all the others listed it was technically offside
So both decisions were correct

note I am not saying I agree but it’s the offside rule which is ridiculous

souness came up with great solution earlier

But it wasn't.
Off-side was meant to stop an attacker gaining "unfair" advantage, the fact that an attacker is more alert and reacts quicker to a possible pass (or wears size 11 boots instead of size 8) does not give him an unfair advantage, it just means he is either faster, a faster thinker or has big feet.

Agree. Also the offside rule was never meant to be interpreted the way it currently is by these jobsworths, where you've got some geeks measuring everything down, to the size of gap you wouldn't get a *** paper between!

I know what you are saying but we are all wrong
- the rule doesn’t allow for that kind of common sense
We are all having to deal with it

I really liked souness’ suggestion of reversing and saying if any part of the body is onside then they should be onside. We will still have the lines but will be the opposite way. what happened today was very similar to the spurs city CL tie.

VAR has faults but we are not using it correctly imho

Had Taylor blown the whistle any quicker we would have been discussing a goal which was legitimate being disallowed and VAR could not have done anything about it.

to think people thought the controversy would end with VAR lol

Yeah, the Liverpool goal was legit.

So was the Wolves goal. Never offside, I don't care how they're interpreting the rules. It's a nonsense, and that was one of several perfectly good goals disallowed this weekend.

Just catching up on MOTD
Wasn’t going to watch it but glad I have they seem to be saying what I am saying

the debate definitely needs to be had
It’s the rule that’s wrong imho

and I think we have got away with one today - the decision is correct but it’s wrong :) if that makes sense imho
Wow they have even referenced souness and weighty likes it - I agree it’s the first suggestion I have heard that I like.

Hadn't heard that but i like it much better than what we have.

Never wanted VAR and really want it scrapping now. Football is a game played by humans and should be judged by humans, if not we should all play FIFA19.

Well you would say that after we were denied all these titles due to poor officiating and now they are doing it correctly...:bandit:<laugh>
