Well for a start and with my red glasses on
had we not had VAR - Taylor would have disallowed - and this is the important but which everyone seems to be missing - a legitimate goal.
Taylor was adamant he was right

on the offside I echo what most sensible fans are saying

That it is the rule that is incorrect not VAR
I also feel the need to remind everyone that just like all the others we have had decisions against us with marginal offsides and two/goals disallowed

Just heard the journo ask Klopp about us benefiting TWICE
One was a legitimate goal !!
And as much as we all dislike it the offside was technically correct - even I don’t like that but that is the way it is
And Klopp has said he didn’t see the offside but he couldn’t

My comment wasn’t based on the pool game. I thought the Liverpool goal was a goal and VAR confirmed that, I’m not sure why it took so long to confirm though! The contentious offside decisions (I think with the city game that’s now 5 this weekend) is a discussion for another day.
I was answering a poster that basically said VAR has eradicated the unsavoury incidents in the game that we all hate, for example the diving. IMO it hasn’t made the slightest difference.

No. The PGMOL themselves said pre season that they’d only use VAR to overrule CLEAR AND OBVIOUS errors. They’re not doing that. There’s now been 3 this weekend alone where they’ve gone to protractor level minutiae to give an offside. Which is not correcting a clear and obvious mistake. They’re going against their own decree, it’s bollocks.
On a point of order can i point out that offside decisions were excluded since they are deemed to be a "matter of fact" despite the fact they cannot determine any number of aspects involved in offside to the accuracy they use as i saidpre season .
PS VAR is **** but we have managed to make it even ****ter .
PPS is it just me or in european games they don't bother with these computer generated lines ?

No way you actually paid £40m for that mule. Ashley has inflated the reported fee to pipe you lot down. He’s ****e and has never scored more than 8 in a season.

I couldn't believe how poor he was even at the basics when I saw him a few weeks back. Competition winner more than premier league footballer.

They're blatantly paying 5mil a year over 8 years or something equally ridiculous.

You agree the Wolves goal should have been disallowed so there's nothing more to discuss <cheers>
I’ll give you 3 options;

1. Provide the quote that proves the definitive assertion you made about my supposed comments.

2. Apologise for getting it wrong (again)

3. Do neither of the above and **** off back to the Liverpool board (I’ll help with this <ok>)

I’ll wait...........

£5m up front.

£10m if they win the league.

The rest when he wins the Balon D’or

5 million would be pricey if you ask me … Christ rondon wanted to stay 16 mill we would have been laughing this season he was class

Nope they weren’t. Kammy was on this morning with the handout he had from Stokely Park pre season that the PGMOL handed out. He read it. Offside wasn’t excluded.

Sorry for thinking you thought the Wolves goal should have stood. It was a pointless argument since we are in agreement it was correctly ruled out.

I'm sure they've always said that offsides are excluded from the clear and obvious mantra.

why not just remove the offside rule altogether if we're going to allow them anyway

Let's explain VAR another way to you, which I know you would understand;

1. Imagine me as the old way of doing things, brb, might take action against my account or he might not, it depends what fooking mood he is in today. Hopefuly me breaking the rules earlier he might just turn a blind eye to. Gamemanship.

2. Now imagine me as VAR, I fook you over at every misdeamenour, ban you, slow your account down, I'm like the Big VAR! Careful with your words or he'll **** you off every minute of every day.

Which version would you like me to be, and think and answer very, very carefully, you have been warned :)

@Tobes

.
"In the Premier League, there will be a high bar for VAR intervention on subjective decisions to maintain the pace and intensity of the matches.

Factual decisions, such as offside or if a foul was committed inside or outside the penalty area, will not be subject to the "clear and obvious error" test. "
