Just said on our board that I've a new angle of irritation when it comes to penalty claims and players complaining to the referee. Whatever your argument, VAR will confirm the right decision (theoretically)
Complained that while VAR and the referee can see the shirt pull...they can't feel how hard it was pulled <laugh>

There’s still some subjective opinion at play though. Take yesterday, Sideshow Bob pulls Salahs shirt, it didn’t affect his movement but it’s still technically a penalty, so ref gives it, VAR can’t and doesn’t overule.
Then in the United game, the United player is being held back by the CB arms all over him, and he falls as he shoots, ref doesn’t give it, VAR doesn’t overule. The latter was more of a penalty offence than the former imo, as the defender affected the strikers movement and caused him to fall, but nothing doing, even with VAR.

I very much enjoyed that game yesterday, we needed one of the so called big games to kick us into gear, if it wasn't for them getting a toe to things and riding their luck with challenges it would have got messy for them.

After a promising start, Ole is now treading on thin ice just two games later, if he loses the next game against Southampton then the cogs will start to turn, the media will fizz into a Pogba-frenzy and Ole probably won’t see out September.

The cold harsh reality is he needs to drop this fantasy United bollocks and play his best players in their best positions and win games.

Don't get me Wrong I don't know the Utd team like you do but it seemed obvious that you needed to improve that midfield and needed to get rid of the rot that is Pogba.

I don’t think getting rid of Pogba helps us, not this summer anyway as there was far too much work to do. We need midfielders, we have some decent quality in the youth team but Ole is persisting with **** like Lingard and utter **** like Pereira. What’s the point in letting these same players fail where they’ve failed before?

United fans would take finishing 6th if the likes of Greenwood, Gomes, Chong and Garner got us 6th, but we won’t be happy for Lingard and Pereira and Mata proving to us all what we already knew.

Never said otherwise. My point was that it's going to reviewed by VAR and they'll make the decision (from miles away) so what's the point in trying to submit a argument?

Ask Emery who still won't let it go

https://www.theguardian.com/football/2019/aug/24/unai-emery-david-luiz-liverpool-arsenal

"Unai Emery put his credibility on the line by defending David Luiz’s mistake in giving away a penalty during Arsenal’s 3-1 defeat at Anfield, admitting the defender’s shirt-pull on Mohamed Salah was the pivotal incident but arguing the referee had been harsh in pointing to the spot.

This seemed a bizarre stance to adopt, since the foul had been visible to just about everyone in the ground and David Luiz even acknowledged his error with a signal of apology, though his manager seems to believe that a tug of an opponent’s shirt needs to be much more meaty before a penalty can be fairly awarded."
