My teen beast told me on Saturday night that she could see both United and Arsenal dropping points.
I reasoned with her as best I could with the powerful logic at my disposal..

"But it's Hudders ****ing field, the 2nd worst top division in my 52 years on the planet! And Brighton who are shockingly bad and even lost at home to bloody Cardiff!"

We spent Sunday in Brighton with the uni kid and met her boyfriend for the first time...we had one rule growing up...do not fall in love with a gooner....yep....you've guessed the punchline.
<grr>
When united took the lead I gave her the all knowing father look. When I told her the result she didn't gloat but gave a smirk.

When Arsenal took the lead gooner boy looked happy as he glanced at his phone but said nothing. I gave the teen beast a knowing fatherly look.

At the final result the three of us said nothing but smiled so not to destroy gooner boy on the first time of meeting us.

When we dropped him of the three of us were jubilant.

On the way home the teen beast went right into her I told you so speech and to be fair to her she rubbed my all knowing fatherliness right in the **** <laugh>

I then do as I do and started imaging the hurt and pain that could come next Sunday and she almost beat me!

So I placed my tenner bet at 200/1 On arsenal to come 4th as my insurance policy.

And now I am calmly imagining what i will spend my winnings on.

Despite what Piskie imagines, you can whistle for your two grand.

It ain’t ****ing happening!....<grr>

Nope, I think for all of Leicester's recent good form, City will be able to take it up a notch now it's required.

Will be a good test of where we are and also a pointer to where we would like to go ... we also seem to have a habit of giving them a good game. I'll be happy enough if we give a good showing ... <cheers>

I think the ownerships of clubs needs to be closely looked at and i don't know how, but some form of security needs to be placed to protect the clubs. I remember before the changes in league structures, clubs used to be refused entry to League Two (old Division 4) on a regular basis, and due to ground not being up to standard. Trouble is now the money men have come in, Fleet a prime example, big new stand this season, now not paying their players. Financially it not only has an impact on the club, but the whole area, as jobs are promised on the back of these pie in the sky ideas. Jobs in construction, caterering, hotels, entertainment the list is endless, not forgetting the planning permissions, for then to nothing to materalise. Did I ever think Universal Studios were going to come in, NO, but try telling that to the believers in fairies in Gravesham.

Strange going ons at Ebbsfleet, seems that transferring money into the club to pay wages etc. is constantly late. I think I read that the last 10 months salaries have not been paid on time.

Quite a few ex Gills players in their squad, so I know a fair bit about what's gone on, also stuff you hear going to games from people in the know. Strange is certainly a correct use of wording, but not stuff that can be repeated on here, don't fancy my arse being sued <laugh>

You could put it towards the forthcoming nuptials.

Relying on Leicester to help you out against City is bad...very bad.

Oh well.

94-97 points is astounding. Second it is.
