Liverpool could have been down to 10 if Astu didn’t put that in.

Chances of the ref giving us a big call over Liverpool... approximately 0%

I'm just glad the referee didn't give Rondon a straight red card for kicking the ball at him.

What's the rules on that ?

Surely the ref should go back and send him off for deliberate handball preventing a goal, even though Toon scored. ?

Don't think I've ever seen that happen. In truth the goal is punishment enough.

At least we're actually playing now. Would love it to be a 4-3, also nice to watch without being hugely emotionally involved, the actual result makes no real difference to us so no excuse to not have a go.

If he prevent the goal, in theory he’d have got sent off. The goal saved him.

If Toon hadn't scored, he'd definitely of walked.

But in the rules, should he not still be punished for deliberately stopping a goal with his hand ?

Our defence was absent but it was a tidy finish.

There's more goals in this - for both sides...

Once again lads, if you could just see your way to waiting 4 mins before posting, so that my ****e house stream can catch up.

Cheers.

No chance that ****house Marriner gives a pen and a red for that against the RS in this game mate.

The Geordies gave it a decent go for 25 minutes, the RS will score again shortly, game over.

To be fair it's an odd one. It's a big decision for a ref to disallow a goal and make them take a penalty instead plus the red.

Or is it simply a play advantage, I dont really know

should be a pen & red, I remember it happening to us years ago v Derby when they had Shilton in goal.

The goal saved him from having to **** out of giving a handball plus a red, which I’m convinced he wouldn’t have done.

In terms of the rules, he’s stopped a goal with his hand so it is a red, but the fact the rebound went in means he didn’t deny a goal I suppose.
