It's your 3rd best season in the premier, ever, so how can it be your worst year in 4?

2016 ...We came 3rd...top 4 sorted early
2017... we came 2nd...top 4 sorted early
2018 ... we came 3rd...top 4 sorted by game 37 but got more points than we can this season.

So this is our worst year in 4.

I’ve just seen a stat comparison of Vidic 08/09 vs Van Dijk 18/19. The gulf is beyond embarrassing.

Liverpool fans have been launching stats non-stop these past few months, watch them all say stats mean nowt now.

Tell you what does mean nowt... second place.

Not sure how De Gea has conceded 53 league goals when United have conceded 51 league goals. That must have been when we loaned him to Fulham for that weekend then.

That was my point by the way, stats are only good when they’re in your favour. **** stats, we can talk about Van Dijk in the same breath as Vidic when he’s won a few things, until then he ain’t on his level.

On to tonight.

I think we all owe Spurs our support for stopping the unthinkable quad from happening, so they have my backing.

Although I’d like to see Daley Blind win the CL so I’m easy either way really.

Stats in football ,apart from a few basic ones, are just weird imo.

United are in the middle of their worst run in 30-odd years and have dropped 18 points in the league in 2019.

Spurs are having a ‘great’ season and have dropped 23 points in the league in 2019.

That’s what success looks like when you set your bar so low.

No spurs fan has said we are having a great season in the league although we are overjoyed to be in the CL semi final.

We are not the global or financial powerhouse the united, Liverpool and Arsenal are and have not been sugar daddie.commed like Chelsea and City yet we have somehow come in the top 4 three years running and have a chance of doing so again...without playing at homefor over 18 months, building and moving into a new ground and having to operate on a much lower wage and transfer budget.

At the beginingof the season no one fancied us for top 4 yet we COULD make it and IF we do I will celebrate a decent season as it'll mean more CL nights and the possibility of signing better quality players who might help us win some trophies.

It’s bullshit really that you’re not a financial powerhouse. Huge profits and a £1bn stadium. Poor old Spurs.

You’re not that far behind Chelsea/Liverpool and certainly not Arsenal.

I’d love it if we beat Ajax. However, they’re a very good side and we’re without a quite a few key players tonight.

I never dreamt we’d get this far, so I can’t be too disappointed if the journey ends here.

You’d have to take a severe battering for it to end tonight pal.

NOW we are not...but we have only had the stadium for 28 days!
It has taken 15-20 years of living within our budget to get to this point...that was what I refering to.
Hopefully our new financial footing will mean we can match the wages and transfer fees of the other clubs.
Anyway...Off to the new lane so see you later...
