He’d be right as well though in this case because Maddison is not a £45m player. Maddison is basically a younger, English version of Sigurdsson, excellent set piece taker and will grab some goals but overall needs to be carried by the team more often than not.
If we’re gonna look at a HG option when potentially replacing Eriksen, I’d go for Brooks, that lad is a ****ing talent and he has the potential to run the whole game for a team which is more important than the odd goal here and there.
