I think the important thing is to have qualified for the "although we have won nowt again we have improved, albeit as also rans, not quite champions, cup" ... formery known as the Norwich Hospitals Invitation Trophy... if memory serves <whistle>

We’ve had a **** season, but we kind of knew that back in January.

Is it really better than expected for spurs ? You’ve dropped a place and won **** all again. Is that an improvement ?

Of course it is. We effectively played 38 away games this season.

To finish 3rd under those circumstances ain’t bad in my book.

Yep. I feared :

1. The Wembley factor would cost us more than 9 pts
(and a CL place next season) .

2. An utter mauling in the CL "group of death" , rather
than finishing top unbeaten with 16 pts (more "trophy"
rights declined as a kindness ;) ) .

Doesn't really wash mate ... if you think about today's game and also include cup games, Spurs have played on that pitch close to 30 times this season whilst it was our first outing ... players like Moura and Sanchez have never played at WHL ... whichever way you look at it you have a considerable advantage over your opposition on terms of ground familiarity ...

It’s still not our home of many, many years and we’ve had to familiarize ourselves with it - as our early season form there showed.

In those circumstances, it’s your comments that don’t wash.

Be serious <doh> ... you don't think Spurs have 'home' advantage at Wembley now?

All the players had to do was work out where the changing rooms and bogs were which they should have nailed in pre-season.

"Another Leicester goal will see Spurs drop down to fourth place with Liverpool taking advantage. Don't rule ANYTHING out in this game... into stoppage time."
(BBC Football Live commentary)

<doh>
The 'Pool loving media so much want for 'Pool to finish 3rd!

You do realise the BBC is based in Salford, Yeah?

I do, Bro.

Yet, Salford seems to hire a lot of ex-'Pool players for punditry purposes.

I'm not having a pop at you Mousers, just the media.

If it wasn't for the media hype, you Mousers wouldn't be so delusional as to believe that you are better than Spurs just yet.

I said that it would be a decade before you were good enough again to consistently finish above us, and with it now being 8 in 9 seasons that we have finished above you, I think this is yet another prescient prediction on my part.

I'm not looking for any special recognition, though.

Well ‘ain’t bad’ it might be. But finishing 3rd when you finished 2nd last season ain’t an improvement
