He is, this time last year everyone was calling hazard a world beater and the year before mahrez a world beater. No doubting KDBs talent as he was smashing it the year before but to say he's on Messi and Ronaldos level is a bit far fetched.

On form he's probably as good and he will never get the goals and assists that they will get purely because of the position he plays. However, he's only been in world class form for the past 4 months so before we all call him the best player on the earth up there with those 2, i think we need to see how he does it over a period.

... it's interesting that the KDB detractors seem to stem from the Man United and Chelsea camps (ignoring the token "Spurs don't ever get enough credit" cry baby, for the time being) ... if you didn't know better, you'd be forgiven for thinking that there might just be a bitter lemon twist pervading <laugh>

KDB's current form is as close to Ronaldo's and Messi's as we're likely to see in this league for a long time.

His performance on Saturday was outrageous.

No wonder poor old Fosse had ticker trouble, you set of ****ing bullies

@luvgonzo

Purely hereditary mate ... I'd worked for 30 years in my field without a day off sick (equal and opposite figures to Sky) ... medical scores for ability to deal with stress 'mental' o 'physical' were, somewhat ironically, exemplary ... if it runs in your family, best get yourself checked out brother... particularly if mid-forties onwards <ok>.

He's not even City's best player, let alone the world or Europe.

He's A great player, he definitely isn't THE best. Long way to go for that. In exactly the way City doing well this season doesn't make them the best ever either, they're miles from that.

Us not sharing your opinion makes us bitter? Ok.

FFS <doh> ... I wasn't being serious <laugh>

Very interested to hear who you think City's best player is if it's not KDB.

For me he stands head and shoulders above his team mates.

Yes, I’d advise anyone over the age of mid 40’s to have a ECG. Especially, if you’re way overweight, lead a sedentary lifestyle; and most importantly, as Fosse says, if it runs in your family.

My brother had the same problem and ended up with a quadruple bypass. In fact, if his wife hadn’t been at home when he suddenly collapsed, he would be dead now!

Fortunately, for me, I don’t have the same problem.

Sometimes the hereditary issue isn’t quite as straightforward to resolve mate

best player in the league for me. However he needs to be doing it at this level for at least 3 or 4 years consecutively to be even near messi or ronaldos ability

Villareal and Valencia have both done okay in europe recently too (both on par with/more than spurs if we are using english clubs as a barometer).

English clubs have done **** all for several years, mainly due to the insane domestic schedule. However, this year they look like likely winners.

Villarreal, and Valencia - brief cameos.

Very true ... lost the old man at 49 and grandfather at 60 to hereditary heart disease .... I was very lucky ... referral for marginally high blood pressure (and the fact that I was in a compulsory works medical scheme) combined to save me .. lucky boy and know it ....

Silva is the only one head and shoulders above anybody.

He's had a great season under Pep and he's adding goals to his game but KDB is like the best bits of Scholes/Gerrard/Lampard all rolled into one.

Silva is definitely an excellent player but he's not on De Bruyne's level in my opinion.
