BBC correspondant:
United have defended just about enough but Southampton have now had about seven chances. United are just not in the game.

Marcus Rashford, who started off so well - we have barely said his name in this half.

These are the chances Southampton have to take. They deserve to. They have been the best team in this half by a long distance.
How many times did we do that under Jose though?
All the time.

It is one of Jose's strengths as a manager.
There is always an element of luck of course, but he is great at grinding out the 1-0 away victories when the time isn't up to snuff.
Those points can make the difference come seasons end.

On a brighter note though, we kicked arse today :smiley-finger007:

Not too unhappy with that, played pretty well against a top side and maybe a bit unlucky in the end.

On to Stoke now which is much more winnable.

Problem is we were not money bags who go out and buy everything in last 3 seasons. Jose had an excuse with us.

Waht he has now?

What did you think of auriers performance? Pretty good on the ball but was lucky to not give away 2 penalties away. You reckon he can rein in his reckless tackling?

I commented on this, on the Spurs board.

I thought Aurier was superb!

A mixture of immense skill and thuggery.

Sure, he has to learn how to deceptively blend the two to get away with more of it in the Prem, but we've been crying out for a player like him for years. History informs us that you cannot win the league (except by way of fluke) unless you have a very skilful thug in your squad.

He made some fantastic (legal) tackles, before his moment of stupidity.

More thuggery than skill Bell he also is no stranger to a red card and hates discipline so he should go down a bundle as Walkers lesser replacement.
