You built a billion pound stadium for football ffs, you didn't have any money left for the team, let alone the bench. <laugh>

Spuds, Kopites and Gooners crying about Chelsea ruining the game lol. All 3 sat alongside Chelsea as part of the ESL plan that was going to shaft the entire English game. Laughable hypocrisy.

You're right. And we built it in an attempt to keep up with the teams who spend without limit and circumvent FFP via dodgy loans, shell companies and bent sponsorship deals.

If you have an alternative solution, I'm sure most football fans would be eager to hear it.

I don't know a single Spurs fan who supported that move.

Wrong, they built a billion pound stadium for NFL with the hopes of a future franchise.
Real football is just a sideline for their owners.

My honest opinion, it's stark raving bonkers to spend a billion quid on a football stadium, how on earth are you ever going to make that money back - well we know the answer, Americanisation and NFL. You sold your souls.

Sorry . You had money to burn , how else could you afford that stadium ?

It was NOT built solely with Spurs football club in mind .

Sour grapes should be swallowed in silence , or spat out in private .

Same. The protests outside the Emirates and other stadiums showed just how opposed fans were to those plans.

The supporters of none of those teams were happy with it.
It's telling that the owners of most of those teams were Yanks.

Tbf it's not a one way stream. For every club out there willing to spend without limit, there's a Daniel Levy out there willing to take it.

Whats your take on the #peasants new stadium, is that wise for a possible relegation side?

Football is just a sideline for most owners these days though. It certainly wasn't and isn't Abramovich's primary business. Same for the Mansours. Same for the new Toon owners. Same for FSG. Same for Kronke. Same for the Glazers.

This is the sad reality of the game today Diego and you're naive to assume it remains the exception rather than the rule.

Indeed. Henry, Glazer and Kronke all (briefly) sat on the executive board.
