Who's the guy on sky sports news, have a total melt-down about the way Spurs are playing, saying stuff like a £100M for that, Conte ain't go to stand for that, he's fuming.

Dunno, sounds ****ing funny though :)

I think that's what that guy was basically saying.

£100M <laugh>

Levy was saying the other day about how they had spent £400m on transfers since they opened the new stadium, and was crying about them having to do better with their recruitment

No prizes for the 'No **** sherlock awards' this season <laugh>

It was O'hara getting stuck in. He's right though, I think it's shocking teams pay so much money for players that can't be arsed.

Easier said than done, most clubs recruitment strategy is ****ing pathetic imo. We’re talking about buying intangible assets at 10’s of £M’s a pop and yet many (including us) fail to do adequate due diligence, just throwing the cash around like drunken sailors at the end of transfer windows.

They have got a shocking amount of expensive dross in that squad, and a striker who doesn't want to be there. It's a massive challenge even for Conte to get them challenging and he'll need a few windows to clear out the half arsed players and rebuild

That said Levy's already told him that he's got to promote players from the youth teams, improve the coaching and the fitness. So he ain't getting a big transfer budget to turn it around.

Sanchez £42m, Lo Celso £42m,
Ndombele £55m, Sessegnon £30m
Doherty £15m and Clarke £10m

Nearly £200m spent on them.

I like the look of that Daka, only seen him a handful of times but he looks a natural goal scorer to me.

I only rate Son out of their lot, and even he isn't always on his game, he can be very temperamental.

The whole transfer landscape is, and has been skewed out of all proportion ever since Roman started throwing his Rubles around. The days where you could pick up young emerging talent from the European leagues for a few £m are long gone. So teams have to take a punt on players now that are generally vastly overpriced and come with huge wage demands.

The very few players of actual proven quality, that can cut it at the top level are simply now out of the reach of all clubs bar a few mega rich ones.

I'm surprised he's stayed there for as long as he has tbh. It's clear he ain't gonna win anything with them and he's no spring chicken himself.
