I give the guy lots of shhite, but whether he scores for England or not, I still wouldn't rate him at the price tag he was bought at club level. So I agree with Keane. I've watched two centre backs, one for England and one for Ireland play in the last couple of days, one came from Sheff Utd, one went to Sheff Utd, one cost £80M the other Undisclosed but estimated somewhere around £4M. I've seen both players play for real and both play on TV. I will accept Maguires goal scoring ratio is higher than Egans but does it justify a £76M price tag difference, absolutely not. So when higher fees are spent, you expect a better level, and certainly not to get dumped by the opposition 0-5.
Maguire was a bargain ffs ... of the players we've sold only Danny ****ing Drinkwater compared for value for money
Did you see him arguing with that drunk Utd fan the other day? "You've had a few drinks, they lost and you're taking it out on me? What've you had? Two pints?"
I absolutely love Keane. I loved where he came out with the classic argument line, 'you've had a few drinks'
