Roman stopped it because of the politics between the UK and Russia. Something about it being harder to conduct business.
Absolutely no idea mate. Wasn't there some problem a few years back between the British government and Abramovich, I expect all stadium investment got put on hold. Then covid happened, so planning permission would have expired.
Aye I remember. Not sure whether thats all been resolved now or what. In any event tho, BRB is likely right, planning permission will need to be re-sought. The design was ****ing monstrous anyway, the new WHL looks awesome, where as ours looked like ****ing Dracula's castle, all gothic and ****
Did you see them when you visit Cardiff and Neath mate? Given that 'Wales', to not606 users, just consists of a single village where everyone lives.
Cant say I know what a flamingos gaping arsehole looks like to be honest lemme google it......the stadium I mean, not a flamingos sphincter Yeah that looks pretty bad
**** sake! Was genuinely going to come with you, beers and ****e football and that. But, it's a Wednesday game rather than Tuesday, and i'm not up there next Wednesday! Staying near the Port Tuesday and Thursday next week.
Typical! To be fair I'd have been less likely to go if Tuesday as I work til 6 and have early start on the Weds. Already off the Thursday and Friday so worked out well for me. £22 for a 2nd round league cup tie a bit bump though.
My experience has been fantastic tbf ... been going to the in-laws for close to 25 years and the locals have been universally friendly ... been to local pubs countless times to watch footie when Leicester on Sky and whilst the locals have often been inquisitive, I've frequently been the recipient of drinks being bought for me. My missus dad, who unfortunately died a couple of years before we got together, was quite well known (and remembered fondly) in the area, so that no doubt helps
Are these pubs in Neath? Any names? I very briefly lived there and used to really enjoy a (mad and ridiculously feckless) night out there! It's a **** hole but a **** hole i'm very fond of.
Would have been great, we could have had a good drink. I never stay up there on a Wednesday as it goes, do football training with my U16's. I'd have sorted that though if I'd know in advance but I missed their training last night so have to do it next week.
No, Neath is about 10-15 miles away - tend to go there for the market so have had a lunchtime pint or a nice bite at NER coffee shop ( If still called that?) ... pubs I've gone to are in Ystradgynlais or Ystalyfera.
Old Swan and New Swan right next door to each other, right? Have you ever been to the Wern Fawr? Real Ale pub up the road, proper old boozer.
No but I'll give it a go. Yes Two pubs right next door to each other ... we also used to go to The New Inn in Cwm Twrch which is closed now ... good chippy in Ystalyfera, Marianos ... rather limited menu but their cod and chips is usually very good, quality wise ...
He ****ed it off in a huff after he was denied a renewal of his investors visa. He’s subsequently got an Israeli equivalent.
Yeah, upper and lower Cwmtwrch which consists of a road with a load of pubs on essentially. Bet not many are still open. In Upper Cwmtwrch there was a New Tredegar and an Old Tredegar arms, again right next door to each other! You really should go to the Wern Fawr next time you're there, it's a great little pub with proper real ales. It's at least a decade since I've been but it's still there.
