Yeah Mancini is a better boss than Martinez. No doubt about that one.

Martinez turned Swanseas fortunes around and started the ball rolling with their climb through the divisions.

Martinez did give Wigan their first ever major trophy.

He give Everton their highest points total.

Martinez took over Belgium in August 2016. They had just been dumped out of the Euros.

They were 2nd in the rankings and then by the Christmas of 2016 they had dropped to 5th in the World rankings because of their performance in the Euro's pre Martinez.

We finished 5th that season, we’d finished 6th the season before. He improved the total by 9 points, by fortuitously managing to add Lukaku to an already very good side. He wanted Demba Ba from Chelsea, but they said no, you can have Lukaku on loan though...

I thought he only had the last world cup and these Euro's as his major tournaments?

The World cup he guided Belgium to their best ever finish (3rd) and now he's breezed into the 1/4 finals of the Euro's. I doubt the Belgium population will have any complaints about that. They might be ranked number 1 but nobody can say their squad is better than the likes of France. So that is credit to Martinez for maintaining their number one status.

Do you have a link to Belgiums ranking when Martinez took over? I didn't think Belgium were number one then. They had just been dumped out of the Euro's by Wales in the 1/4 final so no idea how they were ranked number one in the world when he took the job...

I don't think i've ever cared about international rankings. They are based on things like friendlies and how you perform at events but i believe is quite weighted to friendlies and strength of friendlies.
