What more do you want Saka to do ? He's shown that he can affect games, so he deserves a place in that starting XI imo.

Not sure who you leave out though, coz Saka can play on the left too, or switch with another player on the right, or play Rwb

On another note but I would also prefer to see Foden more central than he's playing. He's wasted as one of the wide forwards imo, would prefer to see him pop up in those gaps between defence and midfield.

Create a few chances? Supply some passes into Kane? He’s up against a **** defence amd the best he offered was running. Mate, I like the lad but waxing lyrical about a few runs is just plain weird.

Harry Maguire created a better chance than he did, where’s the Maguire love-in?

It wasn’t just running though was it. He opened up their defence and turned them on the back foot. That then opens up space for Sterling and Grealish and the whole front line looks dangerous. It was exactly what we needed and exactly what we didn’t do against Scotland.

I think I’ve said since 2018 mate, Kane is the issue, he is the first name on a team sheet full of players who don’t play to his strengths.

Unfortunately our dinosaur manager needs that old fashioned Alan Shearer up front. France will probably start Giroud against a team as he’ll do the leg work for MBappe and Griezmann.

Think Maguire justified Southgate's decision to take him tonight. Hopefully we'll be saying similar about Henderson this time next week.

So everyone doing the leg work for Kane tonight, so he can sit back then lap up the plaudits for scoring.

Good to see Roy Keane saying about Kane's inability to go in search of the ball.......such as your Fodens do.

That’s on the Messiah Southgate

You watch Kane at Spurs and you’d see how much he covers, how he drops deep etc

The Messiah playin him all wrong

I tend to agree mate. He's not mobile enough to suit the other players we've got.

If he's scoring then it's obviously all good, but when he's not then he doesn't tend to offer much else to this team. Don't even think his hold up play has been good this tournament.

Anyway, it’s a decent problem for Southgate to have. He’s got some good options with Foden, Saka, Grealish and Sterling. They are all attack minded and all offer something different.

He's not playing him wrong bro, his mistake is playing him at all. Kane wants everyone to work for him, then take all the plaudits for being a penalty taker. I know some will think I'm on the wind-up and I am majority of the time, but Kanes like a bag of cement, hard to shift around.

Mourinho changed it around and stuck a broom up Son's arse, and Son played better for it, Jose' only downfall was not bowing to the messiah - which is exactly what Southgate is doing. Guaranteeing Kanes name on the team sheet when it's not deserved. Still he'll come in handy in the penalty shoot-outs.

England vs Scotland is never played out on the pitch as it looks on paper, it’s a cup final for Scotland and we rarely see English players run the show.

Sorry mate, the opposition tonight was ****, and as good as Saka did, it means very little in a no-pressure game, when we’d already qualified. Against France his opposition in attack and defending would be Kante, Pogba, Kimpembe, Hernandez, MBappe ffs, what big game experience does the lad have? None.

So no point in a manager giving instructions?
Instructions are tactics mate, in possession out of possession kind of stuff. Football is played instinctively which shows the difference between great/intelligent players and the less so.
Do you really believe any manager dictates every move and pass during a game <laugh>

If I was Spurs, I'd take the £100M Man City have offered, because City are being mugs and I ain't got time for that sort of stupidity. Once Kane turns up at the Etihad, expect a mass exodus.

I think the real Kane is the one that plays 60+ games for Spurs where he ends up leagues leading goal scorer and assister. A better reflection on the player than the 3 games under bang average Gareth.

No but a players general play is dictated by the instructions the manager gives

It’s like I’m taking an under 5s after nursery football coaching session in here tonight ffs
