Is that the narrative now? 'Chelsea saved football'. And they did it all from the bottom of Roman's Gangsta heart.
Thing is like, if the two peasants herr actually had a glimmer of competing with city and the chavvy ****s bottomless financial power the both of em wouldnt be here Suckin Pep and his boys off. If Carlo was closer to Pep they wouldn't be so in awe. Straight up. But I guess it's easier to appreciate city banging 2billion into the side over a decade and the chavs being able to do 300m in a window and another 100m the next if you've no aspirations or you're not set up good enough to compete with them in different ways. Im not into it. The chavs started the **** storm of sugar daddy owners over here. City have followed. As you all know by now I don't really give a **** what anyone thinks about that but I'll fukin die on this hill.
That’d be funny if it wasn’t for the fact that since 2003 the red ****e have spent of £1BN on players and are the 4th highest spending side in the PL league during that period. https://www.transferleague.co.uk/pr...ague-tables/premier-league-table-2003-to-date In the last 5 years Chelsea have in fact only averaged a net spend of £26m per season and the red ****e have dropped back to £18m a season, as their owners don’t back the club as well as their peers. Boo hoo. https://www.transferleague.co.uk/pr...tables/premier-league-table-last-five-seasons Cry more, I like it.
A victory for sport. Underdogs becomes winners. City were a 2nd Division side just recently. Chelsea relegated in 70s and 80s too. Great to see a true footballing romance story. it also sticks two fingers up at the likes of real United and Liverpool who wanted to close the shop and protect their dominance forever and not be challenged by anyone
