Yeh that's why I mentioned the coaching. How is Greenwood developing? We all know, as soon as he picks up the ball he's doing one thing and one thing only and the defenders know it too. Wan Bissaka's job is to run forward, cross the half-way line, check back and make the 30 yard pass back to the cb. He picks Martial because he has pace, but fails to realise pace alone is pointless against teams that sit back in two banks of 4 for 90 mins, when the bloke isn't a natural striker.
Fred is a mess imo. He has no positional sense, he can't read the game, which means he's always blindsided, he can't tackle, and he's never ever ever intercepted a pass. The irony is that Carrick is one of the coaches. A player who never really relied on tackling because he had the rest of those attributes which made him a far better player.
I honestly believe Ole sends them out with two bits of advice. "Don't lose lads" and "Make something happen".

The guy is currently at the top of his game. The main issue i thought he had - perhaps incorrectly - was consistency. Whether it's just being a little older now or that he has a point to prove but he's being consistently excellent since he went to W. Ham and there's no way you can leave him out of the England team - let alone squad - if he's playing like this.
Testament to how unbelievably **** he has been that everyones going on about him now he's scoring goals and doing his job.
