Second season syndrome is a distinct possibility. See Sheff U for details.
Don't think we'll be recruiting Liverpool cast offs for £20+ million for a start and actually our side is starting to take shape...Llorente looked excellent tonight for example. However we know we need more quality in certain areas.

Genuinely expecting a significant improvement next season <ok>

Your style took the PL by surprise early this season, now every manager knows how you play and will have reams of data and stats on the best way of countering it.

You’ve done well for a newly promoted side, very well on occasion. Bamford (amongst others) has exceeded most peoples expectations outside of Leeds, me included.

Whether you improve or not next season will depend on numerous factors, but primarily whether you improve the quality of the squad, and the existing members of it produce at the same level again next season. There’s no guarantee of either of those things happening by default. You take this league lightly at your peril and the assumption that you’ll build on where you end up without question is naive imo.

It's also about holding on to your best players ... Raphina is attracting a lot of admirers ... and rightly so... but you do have a lot more quality than Sheff United and I'd therefore tend to agree with you overall <cheers>

My assumption is based on strong recruitment...whether that happens or not we'll have to wait and see.

Going with the same squad again would be asking for trouble, so I think we probably agree.

I think it's pretty clear we're going down here. Our injuries are just stacking up. We were finally getting people back and then have 3 go off against Southampton last week and looks like 3 off today...

You’re winning mate.

Albeit there’s still plenty of time for the Dingles to crush your dreams......but I doubt it.

If you can hold on here and graft your way to a win in your next game against the Baggies, then you'll be 90% there.

We need to, got West Brom next week for a massive game and a season playing with a patched up defence is now ending with potentially all three of our forward three on the sidelines. Our depth is none-existent, scratch the surface of Wilson-St Maximin-Almiron and we have Joelinton-Carrol-Murphy, who would be poor in the Championship.

I think Brighton losing today kept Newcastle up. They look dreadful.
