This is undoubtedly true.

It’s also true that we’ll never get to see how Pep performs with a threadbare squad and tight-as-**** owners, so it’s impossible to definitively assert that he’s a better manager than Sean Dyche.
Yeah it will always be impossible to know unless Dyche is ever handed a shot at a club like City. I just don't see him as having the credentials to be working with and improving the top footballers in the world.

Last season at Greyskull - 52 appearances and 11 goals

Last season with City - 52 appearances and 31 goals

People who don’t think he’s improved, know **** all about reality it seems, and are highly likely to be of the badge wearing, big flag waving, bitter red ****e persuasion.
amazing a young player improves with experience - who would have thunk it .

Slavia are no mugs and we will have a very scratch 11... biggest worry is more injuries tbh ... Brenda not gonna risk Ricardo so that's him, Castagne, Fofana and James Justin out for the defence and Perez and Praet in the midfield ... draw would do for me tbf <cheers>
Yeah they're at the level of competition that they're now at. They're ****e, pointless pretending they're anything else.

Just checked the Czech league table. Slavia Prague are 2nd. 10 points behind Slavia Praha and 6 points ahead of Jablonec. I really wouldn't be worried about them if I was you.

We're supposed to be away to Benfica tonight, which might as well be playing at home.

But the game has been switched to Rome due to Covid.

I only said it was a tricky fixture because of Benfica's home record in Europe. You should piss it now.

I think that was partly his point. I'm not convinced Pep is some amazing manager but I do think more players have improved under him than got worse and given that they try and buy the best players and often at young ages then you'd expect that (as you suggest). Some are arguing Sterling isn't better than he was, I'd say he is and that it's normal. Pep factor? Could he hack it at Burnley? I'm not convinced but who cares, he doesn't and neither do Man City fans.

If people want to argue he's a fraud though then his trophy record, accompanied by all those managers who have failed would suggest otherwise. Can you compare him with managerial greats like Clough, Shankley and Ferguson. I'm not convinced you can given what he has at his disposal but City are simply the most recent in a long line of teams accused with "buying the title" and they won't be the last.

That's a pretty fair and balanced post.

We'll have none of that on the PL board thank you very much.

The Saudis will be the next

There are some absolutely atrocious opinions on the last few pages. Too many to focus on one but some of you should be ashamed.

Mostly Peej tbh.

edit- just seen the “Sterling hasn’t improved” posts. Ffs.

He's no better than when he was at QPR.
