The contact was by Gerrard mate, let’s not go there again. I’d barely got over that one when Atkinson fell for Goofy’s party piece and got Rodwell sent off for winning the ball ffs. That one was even worse for me, as that derby was shaping up to be a proper match, and it was ruined after 25 mins. Later rescinded as well just for the pure popcorn.
The Luiz one was defo a pen and a red, as he tripped him, clumsy as ****. The Martial one looked like a dive to me, VAR should have over turned that one imo, but they bottled it.
Yeah he was, pushed the envelope a bit when he suggested the ref should have taken account of you already being twatted when he issued the 2nd red though. Albeit it wasn’t a red for me, but he wasn’t arguing that point.
I think the point he was making, far more reasonably than I could have done, is that everything about the whole evening was ****ing ****, including both VAR, and that weaselly little **** Mike Dean. For the record.
Mike Dean is a **** obvs, but the game was gone in the 2nd minute with that ridiculous challenge mate. The offside and the penalty / sending off made the twatting worse, but you were already taking Ole’s full length by that point anyway.
Reckon it'd have been about 6-1 if that goal had rightfully stood.
We'd actually started pretty well in the second half, to the point of the commentators saying we'd restored some pride. Lost the plot again completely after that.

Of all the things that conspired to make for a truly ****ing horrible night, Mike Dean was one relatively insignificant detail.
I actually feared the worst before the game started tbh; we were right down to the bare bones of the squad, (and yet we still sent three players out on loan), academy debutants in key positions, Utd a wounded animal with something to prove themselves, and everything about the night felt ****ing ominous. Then that twat got himself sent off seconds into his debut.
After that, it was just, "another helping of ****, sir? Certainly, here you go..."
Libby is right about Che Adams' goal though. If that had stood, there was a chance of a semi respectable score. That decision was ****ing atrocious, and by no means the first - or last - we've had this week.
I was ****ing fuming that day. I was sat in the front row of the top balcony, right in line with that challenge, and it was as plain as day he just cleanly took the ball, yet Atkinson who was about 5 yards away, fell for the scream and the rolling about from the horrible, snide little ****.

It's the combination of the two which has infuriated me with Dean. I was pissed off he was reffing us in the first place after Saturday and then that farcical red card when he was blatantly told it wasn't a foul.

Don’t hate Citeh at all but someone has to look out for Burnleh here and I’m regularly reminded while exposing a gammon over some point or other that I’m not a prem fan so it feels like a good fit.
