Bertrand would walk in your team lol. And some went on players, some went towards debt to the previous owner. Oh and there's still a large amount which will hopefully be spent in the next 24 hours. Looking to get that Quincy Promes which would be a bit of a coup so fingers crossed.
Why too late, cos of his age? Will be 29 in the summer so still a few good years left in him. It's almost certain that he'll be leaving in the summer regardless of what happens with us and what other top 6 club will he go to? Won't be stupid money (esp if we go down) and if you **** Moreno off he'd be a great person for Robertson - who I rate btw - to learn off. I remember you saying on here you've wanted him for years.
If you do that, you will have breached my privacy and I will have to instruct my Lawyer to have a massive flounce off.
He's cost too much for a player of his age simple as that. I still rate him, he's got good balance going forward and defending. Best English left back easy.
debateable. Alonso is very good at what he does, but he's looked knackered this season. Plus in the big games i dont like him. He's too easy to dribble past and gets exposed. Against the **** teams he's decent and takes a mean free kick. Bertrand is just a solid solid player.
Interesting point, I haven't watched him as much as you so have to bow to your knowledge. Bertrand is very good though I agree, he's better than Rose and Shaw and should be starting every game for England he doesn't get the recognition he deserves and some managers get caught up in the attacking abilities of full backs and forget they also have to defend.
Alonso is technically good, good cross intelligent player and can head the ball and he has great stamina. He's so slow though and very a big guy, he's actually really weak. All you have to do to nullify him is to get a wingback on him and press him hard. He doesn't have the pace to get away and normally we don't really have anyone in the box for him to cross too (or just the 1 striker) so he'll just turn back and pass it but if you play tight enough on him you'll outmuscle him. Anyone running at him will normally breeze past. Sane did it last year, Bellerin, walker do it to him time and again. Even Schellotto at brighton had him on toast. This is only if the opposition is willing to run at him and they have someone occupying the left CB
I know. What a ****, complains about everybody else being a bully and then bullies one of his own fans ! @luvgonzo #bully
Bertrand is very good going forward to as well to be fair though. One of our biggest threats and it makes a huge difference to our attack when he's missing. I agree though that he's very good defensively though, very, very rarely gets beat in one v one situations.
