Most importantly for us he's vocal and an organiser. Definite captain material for the future... Shame until we buy a GK he won't make a major difference.
VVD isn't worth 75mil and never will be. But football is broken and the money means nothing nowadays, unfortunately.
Yeah that's just taking things to an even crazier level... in about 5 years VVD could look like a bargain. Scary how quick the financial side of things are moving.

Why you getting all defensive fosse, facts are facts mate he's a 50m player tops.... some clubs will pay £75 million for an average Dutch centre-half who's done nothing of note in the game in his career, mate ... never mind a former EPL title winner, PFA Player of the year, African player of the year, currently at the height of form and whose success the likes of Mo Salah are trying to emulate ... however unlikely it will be to match it, you have to say
The reality is that if Mahrez was at any of the top 6 and had achieved what he has with us in terms of goals and assists in the last 3 seasons then, taking his age into account, and that he still has 3 years of a current contract to run, nobody would be questioning a fee of circa £70 million in the current market.
I'm hoping he stays with us for another season or two because he is pure class and a joy to watch ... but realistically he may move in the summer ... but not on the cheap

Not defensive at all ... how much would you sell Salah for? ... he's not achieved as much as Mahrez and is just a year younger ... oh but wait ... I forgot .... now he's at Liverpool he's wuuuuurrrrrld class
Now this I agree with ... and that's my point - there are very few players in the world that can do what Riyad Mahrez can ... and more importantly has ... and at an unfancied club ... which, for me, makes what he has done all the more remarkable ... Mahrez, like Vardy, scores against the top 6 and consistently ... Lukaku doesn't ... yet he's apparently worth £75 million ...
... as I said ... the transfer market is as much about who you play for as how good you might be ....
I can’t really take your post seriously when you say coming from Leicester (that’s how it’s spelt by the way). If you judge a players value by the club he comes from not his actual ability or what he’s achieved it’s a good job your not involved in a football club

Obviously not got a proper response have you then. I don’t disagree with the immediate post above the one I’m quoting to fosse on Salah that that’s how it is but that doesn’t make it right. Purely in terms of market value (not what they might be with to Liverpool) Mahrez is worth a hell of a lot more than Mahrez. How you lot can be deluded enough to think VVD can cost £75 mill but Leicester should take a penny less for Mahrez is laughableProbably best you dont
