The incident involving Willian was a penalty but it would have been soft. BBC pundits all agree the ref got it wrong and I agree. The Morata one a good penalty shout for putting his arm over his shoulder twice, again a bad decision by the ref. Had he chose not to give it, it was never a card. for over arguing demo a card.

Instead of blaming Scott for not using the VAR, the Chavs might want to consider that if their players hadn’t spent most of the game doing Tom Daley impersonations, he might have been more persuaded that Willian’s claim that he was fouled was genuine.

One of the benefits of VAR could be that referees aren’t scared to ignore players throwing themselves over after meagre contact. He’s 6’1” and 13 stone or whatever he is. Stop playing like a tart.
