Was a small minority in comparison, but it did happen yes.. They were after him for finishing 5th the season after Romans takeover at Chelsea ffs... We missed out on goal difference and they'd bought a squad full of world class players ffs <doh>

Idiots our lot to say the absolute least. It was of course a minority in comparison to the Wenger out thing, but, we deserved the meltdown after. Especially since the previous owners were sucking money out of the club for themselves, didn't they leave us in 100m debt?

Sheppard ****ed when he sacked Robson, but he ****ed up even more when he replaced him with sourness...

I have to say though the Chelsea takeover was actually the major blow because we'd just really asserted ourselves in the top 4 and spent money with the hope of staying there.

Everything that could have gone went wrong and then the fans of course helped out by blaming the manager that got them there instead of considering whether a club at the time of similar stature ie Chelsea spending hundreds of millions might have been the issue
